為期一週的香港文化節於3月16日在柏斯拉開序幕,
本人感到非常榮幸
能被香港澳洲商會所邀請,
參與了其中有關香港主題的攝影展覽環節-「香港攝影展」
是次展出約百幅本人之作品,
當中之相片主要展示了香港維多利亞港兩岸之風光,
大街小巷繁榮之景況及每天勤勞地工作之香港不同階層人仕之肖像
從不同角度所拍攝之香港照片當中,
向西澳人民展示了東方之珠的最新景貌!
It gives me great honor being invited
by the Hong Kong Australia Business Association as one of the participations
(Hong Kong Outstanding Photo Exhibition) during the Hong Kong Week Festival
which started on 16 March in the city of Perth.
Almost 100 of my works were being exhibited in the event,
the majority of the images are the views of Hong Kong Victoria Harbor,
street scenes and portraits of Hong Kong people from different walks of life.
These images have revealed the new looks of Hong Kong to the people in Western Australia.
是次展覽之完滿成功!
首先我要多謝「香港澳洲商會(西澳分會)」會長---譚丙年先生!
提起 Danny(譚丙年先生),我與他結識及共同合作也是有一段緣份!
Danny跟我說,
他每年都會為了一些在北京和上海的業務,
還有為了歡渡聖誕及新年假期而回到香港,
每次返港,他都必定會到山頂觀光和光臨我的小店
選購一些最新的維港風光照回澳洲作禮物或佈置家居之用,
以解思鄉之情
The exhibition was a great success and I need to thank Mr. Danny Tam
(President Western Australia) of Hong Kong - Australia Business Association.
I met Danny by chance as he used to purchase different images of Hong Kong
from my shop regularly during holidays and his business trips to Hong Kong.
適逄他今年要做香港文化節推展,
他第一時間便想起我
他說,要推廣香港給外國人認識,
照片是最直接和有效的方法
就是這樣,
他便與我聯絡
問我是否有與趣參與是次活動!
Danny was the organizer of the event and he told me that
the best way to promote Hong Kong was photographs.
Then I was being invited by him for the photo exhibition event
in which I have never thought of before.
坦白說,我真的沒想過我拍的照片可以代表香港出國做展覽!
我只是做好我自己身為香港攝影師的本份而已
但 Danny誠意的邀請,
令我最後也沒有推搪的理由而答允他
全力支持是次展覽及親身出席開幕及閉幕典禮
Because of Danny’s sincerity,
I have no reason to turn him down and I promised him
I would fully support the event and
I also attended the opening and closing ceremony.
-展覽其間,認識了很多新朋友,
細傾之下,原來也有不少澳洲朋友曾到過香港旅遊的時候來臨小店參觀,
開心之情,不言而諭!
I met many new friends during the exhibition
and I was much surprised to know that
many of them had been to my shop before when they visited Hong Kong.
是次展覽我覺得最有意義的地方,就是拍賣這一個環節
所有拍賣得到的善款,將會透過「香港澳洲商會」捐給澳洲山火意外中有需要之人仕
最後十多幅我的作品亦以高價賣出,
在此要向所投得本人作品的熱心人仕作衷心的感多謝!
I found the most meaningful part of the event was the auction section.
All the money will go to the charity purpose for those
who suffered in the big fire in Australia which happened months ago.
In addition, I would like to thank for those enthusiastic people
who purchased my photos in the auction.
除了拍賣之外,
兩幅我所拍攝之作品的亦捐給駐澳洲柏斯中國領事館!
2009年3月18日早上我和香港澳洲商會會長(譚丙年先生),
到領事館拜訪總領事--李樹鋼先生,
而李樹鋼總領事亦非常慷慨地捐出這兩張作品給大會拍賣,
所籌得的款項全部用作幫助澳洲山火中有需要之災民使用,
他這一份情操,我打從心底十分佩服!
Other than the auction,
I have also contributed 2 of my works to the Chinese Consulate in Perth.
Danny and I went to meet with Mr. Li Shuguan,
Consul General, The People’s Republic of China.
Mr. Li was so nice that he also donated my 2 works for auction.
I was deeply impressed by his generosity.

At last, I have to thank Miss Lorna Wong,

The exhibition could not be succeeded without her support.
時間過得很快,一週的香港文化展亦已進入了尾聲!
興奮的心情要收拾了,
回港便要再次投入日常忙碌的工作生活之中,
作為香港本土攝影師,
拍好香港是我的本份,
在未來的日子裡,
我亦會繼續用心拍攝,
拍好香港,發揮香港精神!
Now, the festival week has come to an end
and I have to prepare myself and get back to my job.
Being a local photographer,
taking good photos of Hong Kong is my duty
and I will continue such spirit in future.
