訪問甘蕭山區學校之旅 

二零零八年是不平凡的一年，
年初廣東省水災、冰災，
五月十二日世紀（四川）大地震，
八月份世紀奧運。市面上一片歡呼聲，
每個中國人都因奧運成功舉行而感到自豪！

Year 2008 is an abnormal year.  At the beginning, 
there was disaster of ice, 
water flooding in Guang Dong province, 
then the big earthquake in Sichuan on 12th May.  
Until The Olympics Games was held in Beijing, 
every Chinese was proud of this successful event. 

但奧運熱潮只過了一會，
海嘯就接踵而來！
大企業裁員，銀行減薪!
連香港人最愛的滙豐股價亦跌至三十元低位，
樓價大幅下滑。然後就是失業問題，
而各國政府就忙個不停，甚麼千億救市！
其實若說一千億美元，
我真的不知道是多少個零！
外面世界的多變真的是很難用幾句說話或文字來形容

Nevertheless, 
the financial crisis happened just after the Olympics Games fervor!  
Lots of lay-offs and wages cut from the big corporations.  
Even the share of Hong Kong Bank dropped to the 
historical lowest price of HK$30.  In addition, 
price of the properties fell and many people lost their jobs.  
Government of every country was busy to rescue the financial environment 
and the money involved was billions of billions.  
It is too difficult to understand all these changes and 
also I have no idea of how much a billion is.   

相繼前年「雲南之旅」採訪山區貧困學生後,
今年再次感謝環宇希望,
讓我再有機會踏上這次扶貧『甘蕭之路』

After the visit of the mountain areas in Yunnan in the year before, 
I would like to thank ‘Hope Worldwide’ for giving me a chance 
in helping the poor in Gansu.     

整整十日的旅程，我們分別探訪了兩家小學和中學，
和數以千名的學有不同程度的接觸。
是次同行的不只是三五個熱心義工,
而且還多了一班約30人之"漢基國際學校"同學
本來,他們每年都有很多選擇機會,
可以到世界各地不同國家旅遊及生活體驗,
他們可以選擇到意大利,美國,歐洲......
可以享受著不同美食及旅遊......
但是這三十多名的小義工,
沒有選擇去這些富裕地方,
而是選擇了這條艱苦的的甘肅之路,
原因何在?
我想，人與人之間能夠互相幫助，才算是有意義的人生。

During the 10 days’ visit, 
we met nearly a thousand of pupils from 2 primary and 2 secondary schools.  
Besides the usual volunteers, 
there were around 30 colleagues from the 
Chinese International School joined the trip.  
The students from the international school 
should have many other choices to visit like Europe or USA. 
However, these volunteers did not choose to go to those wealthy countries, 
they joined the trip to Gansu instead.  
I think the reason they joined us was they found this trip meaningful. 

除了"漢基國際學校"之義工外,
令我最難忘的,
就是認識了一班和我一樣信主的弟兄,
來自澳門的「澳門國際基督教會」
共十天的旅程,充滿了開心和難忘的回憶 

Other than the volunteers from Chinese International School, 
I met a group of people from the ‘Macau Int’l Church Of Christ’ 
who shared the same religious belief with me and the trip was enhanced 
with unforgettable memories.
