迎接「香港夏日盛會」
香港旅遊發展局與Laurence Lai Gallery合辦「香港文化之旅」
「香港夏日盛會」為香港旅遊發展局二零零九年的重點推廣活動之一，
當中的精采節目包括在六月二十九日至八月三十一日，
於恒隆地產旗下的山頂廣場舉辦的「香港文化之旅」，
帶領訪客展開一段體驗香港獨特文化的旅程。
是次展覽將展出五十多幅由Laurence Lai拍攝、見證著香港變遷的照片──
那如老相片般漸漸褪色的小巷理髮店、
在九龍城於樓間轟然掠過的飛機、人去樓空的囍帖街．．．
都在Laurence拍攝的照片中鮮活再現，
娓娓細訴昔日的故事──香港人拍攝香港情，格外細膩動人。
Welcome to “Hong Kong Summer Spectacular”
“A Journey Of Hong Kong Culture” ──Co-organized by Hong Kong Tourism Board and Laurence Lai Gallery
“A Journey of Hong Kong Culture”, an event taking the visitors
on a fascinating journey to explore the unique culture of Hong Kong,
will be held at the Peak Galleria under Hang Lung Properties
from 29 June to 31 Aug 2009. It is one of the highlights of
“Hong Kong Summer Spectacular” campaign organized by Hong Kong Tourism Board.
A series of more than 50 photographs taken by Laurence will be exhibited,
bearing witness to the changes of Hong Kong in the last several decades—
the barber in alleyways, airplanes sweeping thrillingly past the buildings in Kowloon City,
the deserted “Wedding Street” (Li Tung Street)…
all fading like an old photo forgotten in the passage of time,
revive in Laurence’s photographs murmuring tales of the good old days—
the nostalgia of Hong Kong captured by Hong Kong photographer,
is simply gripping and moving more than anything else.
