攝影的動人之處，
是它除了將世界美好的事物攝進鏡內，
再與眾人分享、同樂，
更難能可貴的是，
拍攝出來的作品更能作慈善，
為有需要的人雪中送炭，
將小眾之樂推而廣之，
化為普天之下的一種福音，
讓世界更加美好。

很榮幸地，
Laurence Lai Gallery 已連續六年
為Richard Ivey School of Business
捐出作品於週年晚宴中作慈善拍賣，
而本年所捐出的攝影作品──
將九寨溝那奔騰壯麗的樹正瀑布
凝於一瞬間的《銀瀑飛壑》，
則順利以一萬四千八百港元的高價拍出，
而款項更會全數撥捐「寰宇希望」，
為四川地震災區作災後重建，
而Richard Ivey School of Business亦為
Laurence Lai Gallery送贈致謝狀，
以表對Laurence慷慨解囊之謝意。

Taking photographs is beautiful,
not just because it allows us to shoot beautiful things
and share beautiful moments,
even more so is enables us to do beautiful things for others,
such as charity.
When the photographic work is sold for charity purpose,
it is something more than just a photograph—
it becomes a blissful tidings for the deprived ones.

Blissfully enough,
Laurence Lai Gallery has been donating photographic works
for Richard Ivey School of Business for six consecutive years
for Annual Dinner’s Charity Auction, and with great honor,
the work we donated this year—《Splash of Silver》
capturing the sublime waterfall of Jiu Zhaigou in Sichuan—
was auctioned for HK$14,800.
The proceeds will go to HOPE Worldwide for
Sichuan post-quake reconstruction,
and Richard Ivey School of Business has also presented
a Certificate of Appreciation for Laurence for his great generosity.
